Pitch Days in Georgia

In October 2021, BAN attended Pitch Days in Georgia. The event was organized by Tbilisi City Hall and Axel-Georgian Business Angel Network with the  goal  to promote private sector development providing opportunities to attract new investments.  At the conference, Georgian technology startups had the opportunity to pitch to local and foreign investors.

Representatives of leading angel networks from Norway, Denmark and Finland were hosted by Tbilisi City Hall and AXEL Angel Investors Network. Georgia’s startup ecosystem and investment opportunities were on full display during the two-day in-person event.

Facilitating the professionalization of startups and investors

During the event, Business Angels Norway hosted a workshop for Angel Investors in which we shared the importance of regional angel networks. Jørn Lein-Mathisen, Managing Director and Åsmund Johan Mandal, Chairman from Business Angels Norway, shared insights about the role of the Government developing angel investing and the overall tech startup ecosystem in Norway.

This was a great opportunity to share experience on angel investing, managing business angel networks, ecosystem building as well as to strengthen ties between the leading angel networks from the Nordics and Georgia.
